Sharing & collaboration

Each document has a visibility setting that controls who can open it without a special link. Loosening visibility never grants write access by itself — editing still needs an appropriate share role or ownership.

Share menu with visibility options in the clashtml editor
Open Share to set visibility and copy links for viewers, commenters, or editors.

Visibility (who can open the doc)

  • Private — only you (the owner). Old share links do nothing while private.
  • Link — anyone with a valid share token can open it at that token’s role.
  • Authenticated — any signed-in user can view; tokens can grant more.
  • Public — anyone can view without a token (read-only floor).
  • Team — members of the owning organization get a view floor; editing follows team rules.

Share links and roles

From the share controls, mint links for viewer, commenter, or editor. Treat links like keys — anyone who has one can use that role until you revoke it.
